Robert Falcon Scott, British Antarctic Expedition (South Pole Expedition) on the ship Terra Nova, 1910 - 1913.
1912 - George Abbot, Frank Browning, Victor Campbell, Harry Dickason, George Levick, and Raymond Priestley, the 6 men of the Northern Party of Scott's Terra Nova expedition reach Cape Evans after a 200 mile walk following probably the most uncomfortable winter ever spent in Antarctica. An unplanned 9 months in a cramped snow cave with limited food, equipment and supplies. They are given the news of Scott and the Polar Party.
They find they had essentially been abandoned, expected to save themselves by eating seals.The men at the expedition base had decided to go to look for Scott.
