1911-14 - An ice-cave, from Mawson's expedition, Commonwealth Bay. In the foreground is recently formed "pancake-ice" formed of frozen sea water, the walls and roof are fresh-water ice, it is probably where a glacier front meets the sea taken in early winter as the sea is freezing
