Robert Falcon Scott, British Antarctic Expedition (South Pole Expedition) on the ship Terra Nova, 1910 - 1913.
1911 - Scott's South Pole party are on the Great Ice Barrier (Ross Ice Shelf):
"Another pony gone, 5 days feed for the dogs, the men take to the meat well too so hunger isn't an issue. Weather is awful, much worse than recorded by Shackleton on the same dates, the strongest winds we have seen in summer with heavy snow and great drifts forming overnight."
