Historical Antarctic Pictures and Events
1841 - HMS Erebus and Terror in Antarctica with James Clark Ross - active and dormant volcanoes on Ross Island were named after them. They later took Franklin to the Arctic on the ill fated North-West Passage Expedition, the wrecks were found in 2014 and 2016 in Arctic Canada.
