Sick bay

There were two autoclaves on the station to sterilize supplies, one quite large, and this one. Both were gasoline fired. It would take about 1½ hours to get a 15 minute sterilization cycle in this small one, longer in the large one. The Coleman-like burners underneath were temperamental, and on occasion one would blow itself out and then spew raw gas on the undersurface of the autoclave, next to the remaining burner still going!
