Murano Glass Jewelry

Where the name comes from: The Venetian island of Murano, known for it's glass makers since at least the 10th century. Murano had a monopoly on quality glassmaking for centuries.
Where the stones come from: Murano! Each item is handcrafted and individual.
Chemistry: Glass of many different recipes and included chemicals to achieve different colors and effects.
Colors: All and any, frequently combinations.
...and another thing:
Galileo Galilei used glass from Murano in 1609 to make telescopes ten times more powerful than others available at the time leading to the beginning of observational astronomy and changing the way we view our place in the universe.
