Mactown Panorama

A panoramic view in the summer. The dark volcanic rock makes it look far from picturesque. A relief ship can be seen at the protected harbour, though sea-ice still covers McMurdo Sound, ships need to be ice breakers or ice strengthened to break through to the base.
