Crashed Aircraft

Navy Buno 148318 LC130F, the third aircraft lost during Deepfreeze '71. Taxiing for a flight to Christchurch New Zealand in poor visibility, the left main ski went over a 5 1/2 foot berm (a line of equipment and stores), the right wing hit the ground and broke between the two engines. A fire fed by fuel and high winds destroyed the aircraft
