Mining Relics - Svalbard - 8 - Bonfire

Svalbard / Spitsbergen pictures, travel in the Arctic

Everywhere is Svalbard is protected and any man made remains are considered historical relics. As such you aren't allowed to touch, move or interfere with them. Unfortunately this message doesn't get through to everyone and there are occasionally the remains of fires that people have made from some of the historical remains themselves, along with lots of broken bottles that are somewhat more modern and no doubt contemporaneous with the fires.
