This was a barbecue style lunch
and while I've never been a fan on BBQ at low temperatures (we
had a number of "because we can" of them in the Antarctic) the
cold plates and rapidly cooling food was more than compensated
for by the huge expanse of scenery and gushing falls of water
from the icecaps that surrounded us.
I think the perfect lunch would
have been peanut butter or cheese sandwiches with cold mountain
water at the top of that flat peak to the right though the
pleasure all the more improved by having climbed up there first.
I am
being a little too picky. It really was a fabulous experience in
a "Wow look what we're doing and where we are!" way, 10/10 to
the caterers.
