We sailed down this particularly
picturesque fjord before setting off across Baffin Bay to
Greenland. This is just one of hundreds, thousands of
distinctive peaks that I saw in the High Arctic that has no name
that I can find. Closer to habitable areas the main flat topped
peak would have a name and as would probably the smaller two
peaks below it, not to mention the shoulder to the right and
that rather elegantly pointed one in the distance.
I was tempted to name everything
I saw but then realized that I didn't know how to let anyone
else know this (other than at lunch or dinner) and get the name
adopted - there's always a flaw in the plan.
