Diary entry: 16 - The ship is frozen into the ice for the winter. We have built "dogloos" for them to sleep in on the ice so we all have more space. Their thick fur keeps them warm from the ice and dogloo keeps them out of the wind.

Explanatory caption: Feeding the dogs in the winter night, the dogs were kept in "dogloos" on sea-ice beside Endurance, kennels made of compacted snow and shaped like igloos to give them shelter from the cold and wind.
