There's an awful lot of schools and colleges
that use this website and also many students who use it at home for assignments.
It is my intention to make Cool Antarctica the most comprehensive, user
friendly, accessible and attractive Antarctic site on the internet.
If you've found this site useful, then I'd
be most grateful if you could spend a little while letting me know something
about yourself, what you thought of the site and any suggestions for what
I've missed or what you think is important, but I've not yet included.
I'm not after general feedback here, use
this page for that. This is for specific
education oriented comments that I can act upon to improve the site
- not that I can promise I'll action every suggestion!
Teaching materials:
Id like to assemble lesson plans, assignment
titles etc. on an Antarctic or polar theme that you've used and have worked.
These will be built up into a database to be used by other teachers and
educators. Anything sent will be placed onto pages that are categorized
by topic and age group. Credit will of course be given to the author along
with a link to the contributing site if appropriate.
Don't worry about the "jumping through hoops"
trimmings to justify the existence of some school inspector, ideas or titles
are fine. Practising teachers can then adapt them to tick the paper-pushers
boxes later if necessary.
Cool Antarctica will always be available
for free to anyone who has the means to access the internet.
