Royal Albatross Nest
- Enderby Island
Southern Royal Albatrosses display
behaviour amongst the shrubs of sub-Antarctic Enderby Island.
This is a small colony of around 70 breeding pairs and represents
a return for this bird which was made locally extinct on Enderby
Island in the 1880's. Pigs and cats still pose a threat to the
birds however as they will take chicks and eggs.
