McDonalds Ice Rumples

Back to gallery    Back to thumbnails   Previous page   Next page

If I remember correctly, it (McDonalds Ice Rumples) is a rocky part of the sea bed which collects the ice shelf as it moves towards the sea. This in turn stops the brunt from calving off, hence the ridges in the shelf where the ice is being forced over and around the rock. This is the most stationary part of the ice shelf(and stable).
