This splendid chest by Abel Rios features hand-elaborated designs inspired by figures from indigenous Peruvian culture. Displayed on all sides of the chest are the sun god and the moon goddess. The exquisitely executed designs are worked into the leather that covers a base of cedar. The leather is finished with a transparent wax of natural hue, and the inside of the chest, which includes handy interior compartments, is painted a deep walnut hue. The chest is completed by an old-fashioned key and detailed handles and lock. |
