It is highly abrasion resistant and the Shock Absorber is in the heel to mitigate the high impact areas on the foot. Contains Asoframe, which is a single molded structure combining the midsole, heelcounter and toebox. Various plastic formulae are used to alter the stiffness of the boot giving varying performance characteristics for each model. The Ascent sole is lightweight and solid with the Asolo/Vibram signature, which is a design that improves compatibility with semi automatic crampons. Rubber sole and a dual-density microporous rubber midsole. The rigidity of the PU allows compatibility with crampons.
