Summer is comming here to Anchorage, Alaska.....I am using this message to introduce myself and maybe get some replys...
The Redoubt volcano near Anchorage has only dusted the area, no big deal.

p.s. I have never witnessed a volcano eruption in my 39 years

Nice to get message from you......No, no kaboom here in Anchorage, but Redoubt did go off again this a.m.; dust cloud up to 50,000' most of which will head n/nw...

Anchorage sounds interesting, can you see the volcano plume from where you are?

No the plume is not seen from Anchorage, but the can be seen this time headed s/sw...
The ash looks like the anvil seen in a major thunder storm in the mid west.
I will be going to Kodiak in a few weeks and will take pictures and pass them on to all of you down there........
