we are all DOOMED!!....DOOMED!! we are going to be turned back into apes via halleys comet. j/k
so worst case scenerio: the planet freaks out and a lot of humans die because the balance is off and we can't sustain life like a lot of high ranking scientist predict due to global change. and we are helpless to combat this change because in the year 2030 we still cannot even help ourselves as a race due to the whole "empire factor" we are still busy blowing things up and attacking third world countries cause they have "genocidal leaders". in 2030 we try to control weather conditions and have sustainable life. in 2030 everyone is still plagued with stiff upper lip disease and the fight for the indifferece in culture and religion continues. unthen in 2050 mother earth hits her reset switch turning us back into apes cause we failed due to the leaders of the world playing tonka trucks in the backyard.

Thank you - Paul Ward and Pirates Amanda - for commenting on several issues that have led to destruction of environment.
Paul - in one of your earlier posts you have rightly pointed out that there is more chance of people reading the full article in forums which are exclusively involved with Environmental/ Social activism. My article is related to the following keywords - Environment, Philosophy, Nature, Ecology, Activism, Socialism, Mind, Yoga, Meditation, Spirituality, Global Warming, Climate Change, Simple Living, Frugal Living, Anti Globalization, Anti Capitalism .... and several others. I have spent the last few months posting my article in Forums associated with these topics. I am trying to spread the message and hope some people who are seriously concerned about environment will read the full article here too. sushil_yadav Last edited by sushil_yadav : 27th March 2006 at 12:50 PM. |

Shuhil did you write this? I would like to know your opinion on this new phenominon known as a super hurricane and why they seem to either be getting super massive, tropical, stronger, unpredictable, and in locations never scene before? would you blame global warming, human activity, natural causes, the creek in the table, or scientologists?
as a side note noaa has written arcticles about weather mod. taking place during world war 2.Also do you draw a fine line between industry and technology when minds or enviornment are at stake? here is a new one in aussieland: http://www.bloomberg.com/apps/news?p...d=a.Q9KTM8qRKE

Pirates Armada ,
Thanks for mentioning the link. Weather/ Climate patterns are changing - and human overactivity is certainly the main cause for this. I can tell how much the weather has changed in Delhi in the last 20 years. Earlier the rainfall in the monsoon season was spread over 30 - 40 days. Now it hardly rains for 5 - 6 days in the entire season. Earlier the summer days used to be very hot but nights used to be very pleasant - one could easily sleep outside without even needing the table fan. Now summer nights have become unbearable - temperatures are high and there is hardly any breeze blowing at night. Earlier the peak winter months used to be November and December. Now the peak has shifted to January and winters have become less severe - which means the number of cold days in the season has reduced considerably. sushil_yadav Last edited by sushil_yadav : 2nd April 2006 at 09:02 AM. |

And the point of Sushil's article was...????
Just kidding!! It was thought provoking and in some ways humbly inspirational. I did read the whole lot and I was impressed. I do agree with most of what you're saying and in essence I think that if we thought a little about the way our caveman ancestors lived then we may happier. The most interesting points of the article were the sections on discussions and debates. The remarks were quite poignant and haunting in a way. I guess what you were trying to say is that less talk and more action would result in a more peaceful and less greedy society.....? I agree with Paul about the industrial revolution etc. In 'less fortunate' countries they are only waking up to the dream of what industry can do for them. We've already done our bit to kill off the earth, now it's their turn - which is only fair!! Pirates, can you please type with punctuation!! I feel like putting capital letters on all your sentence beginnings every time I read one of your posts!! psr ![]() |

I wish I'd read this thread first then I could have saved myself a few million words spouting off on another thread. All very interesting stuff Sushil. Is this slow/emotion thing just a state of mind because mind altering drugs are said to have the same effect, by slowing down your perception of reality you actually begin to 'really see'! Because your mind is uncluttered by everyday nonsense it is able to think more efficiently and feel emotion far more strongly.
Allegedly!! ![]() |
