I'm presuming that you'll be sorting out the Avatar gallery in due course. Will we also be able to upload our own Avatars?

Avatars are go!

There's a few galleries of stuff that I found on the net (though minus the 3 trojans that tried to take over my computer from "free" downloads - be careful out there it's the wild west in places).

You can use one of the supplied avatars or upload your own.

What's an avatar? - one of those small thumb nail images that accompany all posts you make.

How do I upload one? First you need to make your image and store it on your hard drive, maximum dimensions are 100 x 100 pixels and 8Kb. Then go to your profile, link at top of page and scroll down almost all the way, the avatars options are the last ones on the options page. I suggest you store your avatar at least temporarily on your desktop as it's easiest to find that way and upload to your profile. Still or animated images are allowed for now, though animated bug me on forums and I may change permissions depending on if they get prevalent.
