Default Re: Why do you want to go to Antarctica?

I went to the Antarctic in Oct of 1966 when I was with the US Navy Seabees. It was somewhat primitive compared to what it looks like now.We were housed in canvas Jamesway huts and had no flush toilets. Our Unit installed fresh water lines form the Nuke plant(now dismantled) down to the base. There were some buildings that served as the chow hall, admin, Church, and other purposes. We laid the ground work for the existing barracks and supply warehouse. It was the most memorable time in my life. The Antarctic is a majestic place to see. I wish I could see it one more time.
