Default risk is everything

My last thing i had to do before i reached forty was to go to antarctica. It has been my dream since i left school.I am self employed, have a great wife and two children.
My dream was to go down south.
I was lucky enough to be picked by BAS to go south two years ago.I was also picked again last year.I had the backing of my family, without which none of it would be possible.
I risked my business to go.Well worth the risk. You realise that you really are insignificant compared with the bigger picture down there.
Don't get me wrong i love my familly and enjoy my job.
The time you are away helps things to be put in perspective. You learn more about yourself as well.
Hopefully i shall be lucky next season, and go again.
Yes i risked everything. It was worth it.
