Default Sea Shepherd ships and whalers clash in Antarctica

Should Sea Shepherd be taking such direct action against the Japanese whaling fleet?

http://www.canada.com/nationalpost/s...4206da&k=94068

Meanwhile the Japanese host a meeting hoping to bring a resumption of commercial whaling:

http://www.boston.com/news/world/asia/articles/2007/02/13/whaling_activists_withdraw_threat_to_ram_japan_fle et/

On Monday (12th Feb 2007) - "The two sides blamed each other for the clash at sea, which holed a Sea Shepherd Conservation Society ship, the Robert Hunter, but not badly enough for it to abandon the chase."

good lord i could use one of those whalefree beers by the way. anywho..thanks for your links paul. japans killing of whales has become more of a scapegoating process in regards to why they do it. the time has past sence you can throw it on traditions back, what a heavy burden these days eh? i will point my statements at china for fact. if your neighbors build a dam that is so huge it puts numerous amounts of ancient citys underwater and moves over a million people to higher ground then tradition is bogus. lest we forget they eat dogs? i would like to read somewhere if that is traditional. tradition does not cut the mustard anymore. sorry

"Hundreds of whales are dying in horrific agony as their convulsing dying bodies pump hot blood into the frozen seas". should not there at least be a temperature restriction enforced for the blood? sea levels are rising. much like planes boats can deliver gas down under.

one simple thing everyone could do is boycott japanese product including sushi, beer(not whalesafe). starbucks gets a lot of crap for being on every street corner, sushi doesn't????

Update January 2008:

http://news.google.com/news?hl=en&ta...8&sa=N&start=0

Link to Google news about whaling.

Sea Shepherd are bringing this issue to the the fore with increasing success. Last year I can't remember anything on the tv news about it, this year, it's been on the news daily for the last few days.
