How is it whit drugs down there
i was youst wondering(you have to do something) :grin:

I have a son down there right now Doc. and i highly doubt he needs drugs, its already a fairly dangerous place.

is it ilegal with drugs i mean i would like to smoke a pipe down there(in my room of course)

dr. phibes, marijuana or mary jane is illegal. i'm sure people go there for there passion or love of what they do. Paul confirm please........do you or any antarcticans smoke dope while attending your quarters?

Like anywhere else, drugs are illegal in Antarctica. Research bases are treated as the sovereign territory of the country that builds them - like ships at sea - so the home country laws apply.

Like anywhere else though, there are people who take drugs and there are some who take drugs down with them. The penalties of use will vary, but will involve being sent home in disgrace at the next available opportunity.

Personally I don't smoke dope, but I am aware of people who smoked it while in Antarctica.

How sad to know some people felt the need to get high in the Antarctica. Oh, well to each their own.

What a perculiar question-drugs?! I hope you are referring to medical drugs and not the other drugs on our streets that have ruined many lives of young and older people. We have had enough problems in society with them. Drug-related problems get worse each year and unfortunately the laws don't get tougher for the crime-damaged done.
We have so much in this world to get high on just being alive and enjoying "Mother Earth" that we really and smartly don't need those bad negative cheap drugs on the streets.

I would like to believe the Antartica is a virgin, drug-free country. I certainly hope it stays that way.
