THIS IS A PERMANENT THREAD - MAIN RECRUITMENT TIME IS JAN to MAY
Lots of new jobs added, March 30th 2012 Here's the job listing page - check back often if you're looking. Jan - May is the most likely time to find jobs but they are still being advertised later than this, sometimes there are late recruitment posts. http://www.antarctica.ac.uk/employme...cies/index.php Last edited by Paul Ward : 30th March 2012 at 05:43 PM. |

What happens next?
"To work for BAS, you must be eligible to live and work in the UK. BAS can only apply for a work permit in cases where there are no suitably qualified or experienced resident workers: otherwise applicants should normally be resident in the UK or a national of the European Economic Area (EU States plus Norway and Iceland). Ensure your completed application form is returned before the stated closing date. Electronic or hard copy applications are acceptable. We do not automatically acknowledge receipt of applications. (If you require confirmation that your application has been received, please say so in your email or send a stamped addressed envelope with your application.) Once the closing date has passed, your application form will be passed on for the short-listing exercise. All applicants will be notified of the outcome of their application, in writing, as soon as possible after the closing date. If you are short listed for interview you will receive an invitation with an allocated date and time. NB: If you are applying for more than one vacancy, please use ONE set of application documents and give the reference numbers for all the posts you wish to be considered for." http://www.antarctica.ac.uk/Employme...s/process.html Last edited by Paul Ward : 4th May 2008 at 09:11 AM. |

BAS want more women recruits.
Today's Sunday Telegraph (17/4/05) has a half page feature on BAS recruitment. See my post in the smoko section or watch out for the BAS advert in next month's Cosmopolitan!
