Default good all around mechanic/snowcat operator/decent in the It field

i'm not looking for a job any time soon but what would the chances/opportunities be for someone with decent mechanical skills, can operate just about anything put in front of him and can fix or implement almost anytime of system whether computers or simply fixing an intercom system?

anyone that can help me please reply
