Mount Erebus
Hi Antarctis lovers,
my passion is volcano-climbing. I've seen a few of them, in locations like Ethiopia and Iran. Not to mention the classic ones in Italy. particularly, the lava lakes got my attention. This is why I look at Antarctica: Mount Erebus, on Ross Island, has one of the three permanent lava lakes.
Thus, my project is to get to Ross Island, and climb Erebus for photo-taking. Of course, the other nearby attractions need attention, too (ice barrier, dry valleys, ...). Does anybody know of ways of getting there (other than dumping $100.000 with ANI or $15.000 with a cruise ship)?
