Default Just saying hi.

Hi, I am an undergrad student at the University of Alaska, Fairbanks. I have two years before I get my B.S. in wildlife biology. I have been tossing the idea around with my boyfriend about both of us trying to get jobs in Antarctica after I graduate.

It seems that we have come across a handful of aquantences who either have worked in Antarctica or know someone who as. I have read a little on obtaining jobs and will plan on going to the Raytheon job fair when I am a year off from graduating. I realize that the odds aren't all that great, since so many people want to work there.

However, does living in semi-similar arctic conditions give you a leg up in the hiring process? I know that interior AK is quite different from Antarctica (sure it gets 50 below, but little to no wind). It was just a thought.
