At the entrance to the NZ Scott base on Ross Island, this AA sign shows just how far we are from home. I flew from London to Christchurch and then sailed the rest of the way by icebreaker; Scott Base at 77'51''S was to be my own 'Furthest South' on this trip; the Pole itself will have to wait until next time!
