Signy - Having pitched the tent and left sledging boxes behind, dragging gear on the sledge was far and away the easiest means of transportation, so a very lightly laden sledge (relatively speaking) became the chosen means of travel. Here in front of the Sunshine glacier on Coronation Island (a tiddler compared to most). This was why I went to Antarctica. - 1986
