The jetty can be seen clearly in this picture. This was a fairly flimsy jetty and suffered damage each winter by ice that formed and broke out again, shortly afterwards a more substantial concrete jetty was put in place that was not damaged by the annual formation and movements of ice.

Thank you to those who sent their treasured memories of their time in
Antarctica and allowed them to be made into a commemorative cd and then
placed here on the web. The reunion weekend was
