Almost unrecognisable when compared to earlier base pictures, perhaps the green is a little less stark against the background, but I can't help feeling that the industrial estate design doesn't have the soul of earlier incarnations of the base.
The fact that it is now a summer-only base and that no-one winters there means that there's probably no-one who thinks of it as "their base" after a visit as generations of wintering FIDS have done previously.
