Electrical bus. I was informed that the bus is out of date, and there is no redundancy - if it went out of service, these generators would be useless. However, Crary science building and some other buildings have their own generators which could backfeed to the grid, so there is *some* redundancy in the overall system. Moreover, there are plans to finish a generator installation in the water plant as backup for the power plant, and to install backup reverse osmosis water filters (for desalination of sea water) in the power plant, so that the loss of one plant or the other would not be catastrophic.
Note the load, 1887 kw at the time this picture was taken.
