An ice cave formed probably from a combination
of deformities of the ice flowing from the land as part of an ice shelf
and wave action working on the natural weakness so formed. The ice here
is floating on the sea. Two snow petrels are seen flying over, these
are typical Antarctic sea birds found almost anywhere there is some
open water within a few hours flight.
